Red Devil ( 7 CM )

Red Devil Cichlid (Amphilophus labiatus)

The Red Devil Cichlid is a bold and powerful freshwater fish, famous for its intense orange to लाल coloration and commanding personality. Highly intelligent and interactive, this species quickly recognises its owner and often becomes a true “wet pet,” making it a favourite among experienced aquarists.

As its name suggests, the Red Devil is extremely territorial and aggressive, especially as it matures. It is best kept alone or in a carefully managed setup with equally robust tank mates. Providing a large tank with strong filtration, along with rocks and décor for territory, is essential.

This species is also known for digging and rearranging its environment, so secure decorations and a durable tank setup are important. With proper care, Red Devils can grow large and live for many years, becoming a real centrepiece fish.

They are omnivores with a strong preference for meaty foods. A varied diet of high-quality cichlid pellets, along with occasional treats like prawns, worms, and insects, will support their health and vibrant colour.
