Costae Tetra

Costae Tetra (Hemigrammus costae)

The Costae Tetra is a peaceful and attractive schooling fish that makes an excellent addition to community aquariums. Known for its shimmering silver body accented with subtle golden hues and distinctive markings, this tetra brings both elegance and activity to planted aquarium setups.

As a schooling species, Costae Tetras are happiest when kept in groups of six or more, where they display their natural behaviour and confidence. Their active swimming and peaceful temperament make them ideal tank mates for other small community fish.

Easy to care for and adaptable to a range of water conditions, Costae Tetras thrive in well-planted aquariums with open swimming space. They readily accept quality flakes, micro pellets, frozen foods, and live foods, helping maintain their health and vibrant appearance.
