The Julii Corydora is a classic freshwater favourite, loved for its intricate spotted pattern, peaceful temperament, and constant activity along the bottom of the aquarium. These charming catfish are excellent scavengers and make a fantastic addition to community tanks.
Julii Corydoras are highly social and should be kept in groups of at least 6 to encourage natural schooling behaviour and help them feel secure. They enjoy sifting through fine sand or smooth gravel in search of food and are most active when kept in a well-planted aquarium with plenty of hiding places.
Feed a varied diet of quality sinking pellets, wafers, frozen foods, and live foods to ensure they remain healthy and display their best colours. While they help clean up leftover food, they should always be fed directly and not relied upon as “clean-up fish.”
