Albino Red Empress (5 cm) – Protomelas taeniolatus (Albino)
The Albino Red Empress is a rare and eye-catching variant of the popular Red Empress cichlid, featuring pale cream to pink tones with red and orange highlights developing as the fish matures. Their light coloration and elegant body shape make them a standout fish in African cichlid aquariums.
At 5 cm, juveniles are still developing their full colour, with males becoming more vibrant as they grow. Albino Red Empress are semi-aggressive African cichlids and do best in Malawi setups with rockwork, open swimming areas, and compatible tankmates.
