Albino Silver Arowana 15-20 CM

Albino Silver Arowana (Osteoglossum bicirrhosum)

The Albino Silver Arowana is a rare and breathtaking show fish, prized for its shimmering pale-gold body, pinkish hues, and striking red eyes. Known as a symbol of luck and prosperity, this premium variety is a true centrepiece for large aquariums.

With its long, sleek body and graceful swimming style, the Albino Silver Arowana commands attention. It is a powerful surface-dweller, often seen gliding just beneath the waterline. As it matures, this species can grow exceptionally large—reaching up to 90cm—so it requires a very spacious tank or indoor pond to thrive.

Arowanas are predatory by nature and should be housed with large, robust tank mates only. They are also excellent jumpers, so a secure, tight-fitting lid is essential to prevent escape.

Feeding is straightforward, with a diet consisting of high-quality pellets, insects, and meaty foods such as prawns or fish. A varied diet will support optimal growth, colour, and overall health.
