Black Knight Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi)
The Black Knight Ram is a stunning selectively bred variety of the popular German Blue Ram, prized for its deep black coloration and elegant appearance. With its striking dark body, shimmering highlights, and graceful finnage, this unique dwarf cichlid makes an eye-catching centrepiece in any peaceful tropical aquarium.
Despite their impressive appearance, Black Knight Rams retain the inquisitive and personable nature that Rams are known for. They thrive in warm, well-maintained aquariums with plenty of plants, driftwood, and open swimming areas. When provided with optimal water conditions, they display vibrant colours and fascinating behaviours, including pair bonding and breeding displays.
Black Knight Rams are best kept with other peaceful community fish and enjoy a varied diet of high-quality pellets, frozen foods, and live foods to maintain their health and colouration.
