Cardinal Tetra (3 cm) – Paracheirodon axelrodi

The Cardinal Tetra is a small, peaceful, and brilliantly coloured freshwater fish, easily recognised by its vibrant blue body and striking red stripe that runs from head to tail. At 3 cm, these juveniles are perfect for adding colour, movement, and life to community aquariums.

Cardinal Tetras are active schooling fish and do best in groups of 6 or more. Hardy and beginner-friendly, they thrive in well-planted tanks with gentle water flow, where their vivid colours and natural schooling behaviour can be fully appreciated.
