The Golden Emperor Tetra is a striking freshwater fish admired for its shimmering golden body, elegant finnage, and peaceful temperament. Their vibrant metallic colouring makes them a standout addition to any planted community aquarium.

Growing to around 5 cm, Golden Emperor Tetras are active schooling fish that should be kept in groups of 6 or more to encourage natural behaviour and help them feel secure. They thrive in well-maintained aquariums with plenty of plants, open swimming space, and stable water conditions.

These omnivores are easy to feed and enjoy a varied diet of quality flakes, micro pellets, frozen foods, and live foods. A balanced diet will enhance their brilliant golden colours and overall health.
