The Kuhli Loach is a fascinating freshwater fish known for its long, eel-like body and striking dark bands against a yellow-orange base colour. These peaceful bottom-dwellers are full of character and love exploring the aquarium, squeezing into hiding spots and burrowing through fine substrate.
Kuhli Loaches thrive in well-established aquariums with soft substrate, plenty of plants, driftwood and caves to hide in. They are social fish and feel much more comfortable when kept in groups of their own kind. Their peaceful nature makes them an excellent choice for community aquariums with other small, non-aggressive fish.
They enjoy a varied diet of sinking pellets, frozen foods and other small, suitable foods that reach the bottom of the tank.
