Lemon Tetra

Lemon Tetra

The Lemon Tetra is a bright and lively schooling fish, named for its soft yellow body and striking black-edged dorsal fin. When kept in good conditions and a well-planted aquarium, they develop a beautiful lemon-yellow glow that intensifies in groups, making them a standout in peaceful community tanks.

Lemon Tetras are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6–10 individuals. In larger groups, they feel more secure, show better colouration, and display more natural, active behaviour throughout the mid-water column.

They thrive in planted aquariums with open swimming space and stable water parameters. These hardy fish are easy to feed and will readily accept flakes, micro pellets, and a variety of frozen or live foods such as daphnia and brine shrimp.
