The Luminatus Blue Eye is a stunning and delicate-looking freshwater fish, known for its shimmering body tones and striking electric-blue eyes. When kept in a well-maintained planted aquarium, they display beautiful flashes of colour as they move in small, active schools through the mid-to-upper levels of the tank.
These fish are best kept in groups of at least 8–10, where their natural shoaling behaviour becomes more confident and their colours intensify. They thrive in peaceful community aquariums with plenty of plants, fine-leaved vegetation, and open swimming space.
Luminatus Blue Eyes are active micropredators and require a varied diet of high-quality micro pellets, crushed flakes, and frequent feedings of small live or frozen foods such as daphnia and baby brine shrimp to maintain health and colour.
