Red Empress ( 5 CM )

The Red Empress is a highly sought-after African cichlid known for the stunning red, blue, and iridescent colours that develop as males mature. At 5 cm, juveniles are still developing their adult colour but will become striking show fish in a well-maintained aquarium.

Red Empress are semi-aggressive Malawi cichlids that do best in African cichlid setups with rockwork, open swimming space, and compatible tankmates of similar temperament. They are hardy once established and make an excellent centrepiece in a cichlid display tank.
